I understand the idea that there "should" be a "working relationship" between photog and model, but sometimes, in the editorial situation, you're really pushing to get the shots and there's no time for that. You just get the shot as fast as you can so everyone can make their flights, ya know? The aftermath is generally corrected in editing and then the art department with photoshop...and things have changed so much with how editorial photographers work in the last 10 years, that 90% of them are working digitally and offer a pre-edit/pre-photoshop before they let us see the film anyway, so ...I don't know, I'm just a bit shocked that they didn't clean up those lines from her neck and erase the raccoon eyes, that's all. | |
