Songs that ease your mind

Some songs have the quality they get you all quite and silent. Its those kind of songs that ease your mind, make you feel calm. I am curious about your choices. My pick goes to:

Neil Halstead - Hi-lo and Inbetween

Just tender, softspoken vocals, a piano and some synths in the background, combined with splendid lyrics. It gets my silent everytime i listen to it.

What are your picks?

The songs from Alana Davis' Surrender Dorothy album.

Alana's voice is already soothing, but it's something about her cradling that guitar and the lyrics of her tunes. "The Reaper," "Stay" and "Create" get constant rotation. I saw her perform these songs live last summer and it was definitely a treat.

that song is very sobering. If you really ponder over the chorus it can really freak you out.

I don't usually (have to) blast Enya, but if there was ever a functional component to listening, she's here to ease our minds!

I sorta discovered this when studying music theory earlier this decade... how her chord progressions are always perfect cadences and the melodies on top resolve resolve resolve.
