Sorry cry is like a cheap attempt to me its not a bad bad song but it isnt that great either. Heal the world is alot betterr and its not cringeworthy, its a beautiful song.
And whatmorecanigive? i like Mikes verse and thats it the rest suck. Has anyone noticed how in 1 verse? he makes the song sound alot better on his verse alone. Thats what i like about him his good man, do you get what im talking about? Say the charity song What More Can I Give....the song doesnt sound all that fantastic but then comes in Michaels verse he makes the song sound alot better? Same goes for we are the world, Michaels verse is the best bit in the song.

She says not. But it's what I heard, too. She claims she was just worn out and fed up.

I disagree. Sony passed on the charity single because of issues they already had with Michael. Guess they dropped Invincible cos of the gay porn director, too.

well, i wont wag my finger if you dont take my statement out of context so that you may defend your precious mj. then you can reserve the energy used from rolling your eyes towards more productive things...like moonwalking..or pop-locking. Space for sale...

I ain't defending shit, just offering an alternative. Michael and Sony has issues before the charity single fiasco and it was refused release so as not to be in competition with the release of Butterflies and Cry. As it happened the retail release of Butterflies was cancelled which pissed Mike off even more, so then he wanted to take What More Can I Give to another label, Sony wouldn't allow it. The gay porn issue was merely a media distraction. Anyhoo, it's not even that a good a song, imo. So who gives a toss?

WATW is way better. best version though is on the 20th anniversary DVD with Mike laying down the guide track in a ten minute section on disc 2. He fucking nails it and it's an interesting insight into how he and Q worked together.

jasonstar said: So I just heard "What More Can I Give" and saw the video for it today and I loved it. Infact, yes "We Are The World" got lots of hype, but I think "What More Can I Give" is a lot better of a song, production wise, and just over all. Also, "What More Can I Give" swiped a line from The Jackson 5 classic, "I'll Be There." Something about "Must bring salvation back." Does that ring any bells? I thought it would!
However..I think "What More Can I Give" is a better song in my book. Does anyone else agree? I'm officially torn. I love Bruce, James and Kenny's vocals on WATW, but I really love Michael's vocals on WMCIG. Although its 3 to 1, we're talking about Michael Jackson so its easy for me to disregard other artists and I'm trying my hardest not to. I'll have to watch both of them again, for the 3rd time
