Madge's Sorry (PSB Maxi-Mix) - Official Confirmation!!!  It happened!
Here's the official confirmation: Madonna - 3 January '06 We can confirm that Pet Shop Boys have remixed Madonna's next single, "Sorry", which will be released in February. At the moment we do not know whether "Sorry (PSB Maxi-Mix)" will be commercially released or only made available on promo copies to club DJs. Chris and Neil remixed the track in December and Neil added some vocals to it. Madonna inspired to pimp her ride
Posted: 03 January 2006 - From Yahoo! News Pop superstar Madonna is such a fan MTV show Pimp My Ride she is planning to copy the car makeover concept for her new music video. The thirty-minute show, which quickly became one of the music channel's most popular, sees a hip team of mechanics revamp ageing vehicles for young contestants. And the Material Girl is keen to follow suit - by transforming a battered Ford Cortina into a classier set of wheels for next single Sorry, which will also feature a cameo appearance from the show's host DJ Tim Westwood. A source tells The Sun, 'Madonna really loves the MTV show. She wanted to do a video with a rags-to-riches story, taking a battered old British banger and turning it into something special.' 'Her record company contacted the MTV producers behind Pimp My Ride and they came up with a storyboard and car for the video.' The new single will reportedly be remixed by the Pet Shop Boys.

I heard that "Sorry" and "Get Together" were being released as a double A-side.I guess it was just a rumor,but I'm glad that it's not happening."Get Together" is a strong single in it's own right.If it were up to me,these would be the next singles from the album (after "Hung Up") "Get Together" "Jump" "Push" I would release those three singles and move on.Those are the songs that have the best chance of becoming big hits. | |

Well I really doubt that you will see this remix available in the USA except for a couple of gay dance clubs.
Looks like by hooking up with The Pet Shop Boys Madonna is turning more of her attention to Europe and S. America where the Boys still have a huge following. Though The Boys did a good thing, By getting a free ride through the Madonna media machine ,The Boys will be fresh in everyones mind When Fundemental drops in April. I just wonder if Neil's vocals are nothing more than rereading "sorry" in different languages from the tele prompter too. [Edited 1/4/06 23:14pm] I'd be very dissapointed if it wasn't on the US maxi single (and there is always a US maxi single....the one for "Hung Up" was domestic, if anyone was wondering..I saw it in a few stores that don't usually carry singles anymore). I would be surprised if the PSB mix isn't somehow available to US fans...it's in both Madonna's intrest (to please the dance fans which have turned most of her recent singles into #1s on the dance chart and I doubt that "Sorry" is an exception) and PSB's interest (since they have a new album coming out soon...can't wait). | |
