Weave-No
Voice-Decent for what she trying to do Emotion-seems like she coming from a honest place Ghetto Dramaness-"I should have cheated" says it all errr that's like a 2.5 Not really feeling the runs on "Love", but the song has a early 90's sound to it. On her CD I like "Thought You Had My Back". Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0
Thank You SO much Saint Expedite for your help Thank You Virgin de Guadalupe for helping my friend Thank You Saint Anthony for returning my wallet to me untouched

I am going to admit that her voice is aiight. but...
LOVE is a hott track, that drum beat and those male background singers and the hookline is a winner. It has that 1991 slow jam feel to it. I Changed My Mind (Dont Love You No More) by Kanye is hott. Its a stop-go track with some underground ol 45 going on and off with them skittery mid-tempo beats he has crafted, nicely. I Should Have Cheated I actually didnt really like this song too much, UNTIL I heard this NY D.J. remix acapella to the beat of "One In A Million" by Aaliyah and now that's the only version I listen to. I Just Want It To Be Over It was ok. I appreciated it. It was a nice lil song. last but not least, that red and blonde weave got to go Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Almost everything I have heard from her is either negative or has a negative undertone to it. Even "Love". I think she's a decent vocalist but her material is downer city. I gotta pass on this chickenhead. She needs therapy or sumpthin'. A bad influence on young black females listening to her. [Edited 2/15/06 0:52am]

[Edited 2/15/06 0:52am] She's not too negative of an influence that every teenage girl I know loves her album

There's a song of hers that KMOJ radio plays quite a bit where I think she tries very hard to sing like Gladys Knight. I don't know the title, But in it, she's singing lyrics like "What Happened To The Music?", "Every Woman is a bitch or a Ho" Then she keep repeating "We Don't Sing No Mo" over and over again. My personal opinion. Her voice is church choir okay, But she's definitely got black feminist issues.

I think you may be confusing her with Leela James because the lyrics you mentioned sound a lot like her song "Music." "Free yo mind and yo ass will follow" - George Clinton

I don't see what's so special about Keyshia Cole. She sounds like every other chick trying to sound like they got soul but don't. I heard a bit of "Love" and it sounded like she was screaming and doing them vocal acrobatics at the same time. I turned the station after 30-45 seconds.
Speaking about negative influences, I heard these chicks singing "Love" on the bus yesterday on my way home and I tell you, I wanted to go back there and spit on them. They assualted my ears with their God awful singing. Thank God they got off the stop after I got on, but damn if them chicks were loud and pitiful. The horror. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
