Any P Funk/George Clinton fans here? What's your opinion on the top 3 Parliament albums out there? I'm starting a collection and I'm curious to know your thoughts on which ones are the best and why. Also, do you know the name of a song that references "3 Blind Mice" ? I don't know the proper name of the song. Thanks for your help! "All that matters is the love we make 2night." - Prince

I love P-Funk. I'm a bigger Funkadelic fan than a Parliament fan, though.
I think the song you're talking about is Sir Nose D'voidoffunk JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

...for 3 of the funkiest albums ever made, check out 'Funkentelechy vs The Placebo Syndrome', 'Mothership Connection' and 'Motor Booty Affair'. GC was sure popping some big pills back in the day...

I'd say:
Osmium - 1970 Get up for the down stroke - 1974 The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein - 1976 peace

Sure am, I see them for second time next month.
Although I love all the P-Funk (Bar perhaps last two Parliament albums) early Funkadelic is my favourite era.

By the way the "three Blind mice" track is "Sir Nose" and you'll find that on Funkentelechy Vs The Placebo Syndrome. For Parliament Andy D's choices cover the peak commercial era although a live disc may be preferable to Motor Booty Affair as starting point.

Aaliyah and DMX sampled "Sir Nose" on their duet "Back In One Piece".

I always thought Motor Booty Affair was one of Parliament's most underrated albums. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I always thought Motor Booty Affair was one of Parliament's most underrated albums. No doubt, but as one of first three P-Funk albums? I dunno...

Motor Booty Affair is the shit as well as Glory Hallastoopid. One Nation etc.Im debating to buy a new vinyl copy of Motor Booty..I desparately want that Sir Nose poster to frame. Im not sure this will actually have the poster from back in the day. Another fav is Pfunk Allstars live At The Beverly Center. Hass hipped me to that one and it has the best live version of Maggot Brain that features Eddie Hazel AND Michael Hampton.16 minutes with Maceo on flute opening. "Climb in my fur."

Ask somebody at the store. They may not know, but there's a chance they do. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Ask somebody at the store. They may not know, but there's a chance they do. It is like a brand new vinyl perfectly shrinkwrapped..Im wondering if its like a second pressing...I'll ask. Hopefully one of those young college whippersnappers will know. "Climb in my fur."
