I've seen The Donnas live out here in L.A when they first hit cuz they reminded me of The Runaways. But they're also like The Ramones, which is cool. Their "Mates of State" album is very good as are the rest of their joints. Very cool band, but I especially dig "You've Got Nothing On Me". Who else digs this cut?

Yeah this is a good jam. Heard it a party the other night. I got hip to them back in 99 when I saw their vid for "Strutter" (lol). Happy Holidays by the way Brutha B!

I've seen the Donnas live eight times so I guess that makes me a fan. "Fall Behind Me" is a good song. It was the first single from their last album 'Gold Medal'. The Donnas tried to broaden their sound on a few tracks on that album, but their previous record, 'Spend The Night' rocks from start to finish. The first Donnas album is also cool which they recorded in high school when they were Ramones wannabes. Now they wannabe Kiss. What do you think of Donna R's guitar playing, Z? I think she's by far the best musician in the group.

I ADORE 70's KISS and The Runaways, so I love The Donnas. Donna R is a VERY good guitarist. Especially for a girl!! Just kidding. She's cute as hell too.

I've seen them in concert twice, and they only get better. They seemed really disinterested the first time I saw them in 2001, but then I thought, "We'll, they're basically kids." The show was good, but their stage presence really lacked.



This album was great! It took a bit for me to get into it, because it was very different sounding for them, but I love it now. It's probably their best. It's a little thrashier, and they went beyond the basic formula they'd stuck with up to that point. Not that it was a bad thing to begin with, but staying there would have been dull.

There were some cute songs on American Teenage Rock 'N' Roll Machine (Rock 'N' Roll Machine being my favorite), but they were in that "we're punk girls, how cute are we!?" stage at that point. The lyrics on the Get Skintight album crack me up!

I forgot to comment on the song itself! The Donnas are big KISS fans, and it's really obvious with this one. It sounds like classic Rock and Roll Over era KISS.
