I saw her on David Letterman after she took her fall, and she acts like she has her nose in the clouds. It is really sickening. I would have expected more from her. I give props to Madonna for starting a innovative record label. However, I bet a majority of the work that label does is by suits in a marketing department and not her. And why am I ripping on Madonna? Honestly I just felt like it. And If I had a penny for everytime someone on this board went on a Michael board and ripped on him, I'd be rich.  Look we ALL know what Madonna is and isn't. None of us are licking her pussy in any sort of way. If she HAD come out with a stinker MANY of us would have pointed it out. You point out "thriller" as the end all be all to the argument. Um like most of Mikes successes that was almost 2 decades ago. So what if Madonna has yet to achieve the "greatness" thriller was? She certainly has done MORE than he has and is still relevent. MJ is not....at least none of his music for the last decade is. I am sure the average person can tell you at least 2 songs from Madge in the past decade and not many could tell you one from MJ.
I see the difference between MJ and Madonna fans is that most Madonna fans (and Madonna herself) are grounded is at least a reality that is familiar and not that bizarre. MJ fans and MJ are not. As they still think MJ is the greatest artist of all time...still cranking out the hits and they think his behavior is anything but strange. One word...nice! | |

Actually I agree with you - Madonna isn't in MJ's realm - talent wise. His voice is gorgeous while Madonna's voice - well she does the best that she can with it but it ain't great. His dance skills far out weigh Madonna's - not that she is horrible its just that MJ is much better - been doing it longer - he's better trained and he is just plain better then her. Madonna is good at marketing herself but, she is not a good singer or dancer and I don't find her performances to be beyond much of a bad off broadway show.

Martha Graham, Pearl Lang, Alvin Aley, Gene Kelly, Vincent Patterson, Jamie King, all have worked with Madonna who has been a classically trained ballerina since she was 14 and won dance scholarships to U of Michagin a national college dance championship at Duke University which caused her mentor Christopher Flynn to pressure her to move to NY to become a dancer and yet you claim that Michael is better trained than Madonna? just because someone has been doing the same routine and moves and style for almost 30 years doesn't make them better. come on people just check out Vogue... I am not a Michael Jackson fan. I dig Off the wall and thriller. And i think he is an incredible singer and dancer, something Madona will never be.
I am a fan of Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, Prince, Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Al Di Meola, George Clinton and the guys of parliament/funkadelic, led zeppelin, jimi hendrix, Victor Wooten, you know? Really talented ARTISTS and MUSICANS who dedicated their life on composing or praticing instruments and doing great MUSIC, not a pubicity whore like Madonna that dedicated her life in buying clothes, and being shocking and polemic, it has nothing to do with ART, the woman can´t even compose a song and arrange it all by herself, if at least she had a great voice and great melodies, like michael jackson. Put madonna next to a guy like lenny kravitz and she is nothing, let alone compare her to a guy like Geroge Benson, hahahaha  |
