Why on earth did Michael sing on "2300 Jackson Street" the song?

He did the video to distract from the fact Janet's daughter is in it.

Okay so I realize that Victory was kind of silently dubbed "The Last Jacksons" album with Michael on it. It seemed like Michael REALLY wanted to get away from his brothers and be solo. I mean if he didn't, wouldn't he have had them on the Bad tour with him?

So why did he go back and sing on "2300 Jackson Street?" Was it because of something in his contract? Or was it to be nice to his brothers? Does anyone know..?

He probably participated because it was a song for his parents and all siblings (except La Toya) sang on it. There were only four brothers that was part of the Jacksons by the time: Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Randy but since Rebbie, Janet and Marlon participated why couldn't Michael do this as well? I think your question is pretty lame. Even though Michael was "larger than life" at the time I am sure he still had strong bonds to his family.
