Why not make it as a tribute show, like they did in 2000, this time a tribute to Gladys Knight. That could have been brilliant, with Knight herself doing a few numbers, maybe even a little reunion with the pips, and end it with Dionne Warwick and Patti LaBelle joining her on "Superwoman"



I would love to see Ruby Turner perform "Nobody but you" (a Gladys and the pips song she covered)

Shamefully, I worked as a PA on that show. Celine had trouble w/ all the ladies. The performance she did w/ Shania, Gloria, and Carol was hard to rehearse through. She kept trying to add in parts for herself and singing over everyone else. Mariah rolled her eyes because Aretha had already sang over some of Carol's parts. And, then here comes Celine singing over a part that Carol was supposed to sing. It ended in Carol getting to sing very little of a song she wrote. That's why she kept opening her mouth and then just nodding her head and smiling. Celine was very nice and polite to everyone around her, but I'm not sure that that's not an act. Everytime she stole someone's part it was all very who me? That would've been convincing if her parts hadn't been explained and delegated to her a 1,000X over.
