Sinbad's Soul/Comedy HBO Specials

Does anyone remember Sinbad (the comedian) first of all?

If you do..he was funny! Anyways..he use to host these specials on HBO with Earth Wind & Fire and Kool & The Gang..he would do comedy and the bands would perform. Did anyone catch these on TV? I bet they were awesome!

I'd love to hear thoughts from people that saw them on TV. I love Sinbad's comedy and I'm a fan of Earth Wind & Fire and Kool & The Gang.

Let me know! Thank you! biggrin

Yeah I remember these great shows. My favorite one was the one with Cameo, The Isley Brothers (Ernie was KILLIN' it on the guitar), The BarKays, Evelyn "Champagne King, and The P-Funk All Stars...It wasn't P-Funk's best peformance but still cool nonetheless.

He played a car salesman on an episode of Cosby Show.

Cliff was trying to keep Sinbad from gouging him on the price of Theo's car by being inspecific about his profession. Then someone walks in and yells "DOCTOR HUXTABLE!!"

That somebody was comedian Gilbert Gottfried. Funny comic himself...he also did the voice overs for the parrot in the Disney movie Aladdin.

Yeah I remember those specials, they were cool. I remember seeing Graham Central Station back in 1997(I think) and they were amazingly good. I gained a great deal of respect for Larry Graham's musicianship after that performance. Damn has it really been that long....where does the time go?
