[Edited 12/22/05 13:24pm] it's not been posted before and it's not silly. unlike that moronic MJ one you posted earlier today. which by the way i sincerely hope you copied and pasted (it was that long!), otherwise you made a bit of a hypocrite of yourself sir. I see it's not around anymore but about 20 people know what i'm referring to. Merry Xmas. [Edited 12/22/05 13:52pm]

Didn't Slash play guitar on "Black Or White" also? I know he played on "Give In To Me" And i remember in an interview he said he wished he could've played on Dirty Dianna but Steve Stevens got the call.... shame.

I don't see MJ as anyone's friend.
But I think they admire each other. Check this song out at:

The story was that MJ caught Freddie doing it in his house and only got mad for that reason, because he certainly didn't give a shit about everyone doing that stuff at Studio 54. I dunno how true that was though.

Slash has also quested on his TV performance bits various times. Wasn't there even a charity concert in Germany (or Austria or somewhere) in the late 90s when he joined Michael onstage for "Earth Song"? I remember seeing that on the TV, it was an exceptionally terrible performance. That much I can recall from it.
From what Slash has commented on Michael himself, their friendship exceeds over just musical collaborations. Why not? I don't see why two individuals like that wouldn't get along together.

Yes, the MJ & Friends Munich concert. I have that on tape, it's rubbish. That was the one when MJ first injured his back with recurring problems since. It was feckin' scary to see that bridge fall.

Yes, it was. And some ppl have thought that Mike has been faking his back problems. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

A quick correction on Privacy: Although MJ clearly shouts 'Slash' before the guitar solo, the reason Slash isn't credited in the booklet is that he never got around to recording the solo, so the solo of a studio musician (I would have to look up his name) that was used in demo versions of the song was kept.
People also sometimes think Slash played guitar on Shout (the b-side to Cry), but again he went uncredited, suggesting he didn't actually play guitar on that cut. The weird thing about this is that Slash confirmed later that he was involved in the Invincible recordings and actually wrote/co-produced a song with MJ, who he described as 'the biggest genius i've ever seen in a studio' (or something to that extent). The skitch of him 'not wanting to leave the stage' has been tried at least 3 times at an MJ-performance, the most funny one where he breaks the (plastic) machine gun of the soldier on stage during the Earth Song performance of the MJ&Friends concert in Munich. "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

There was this concept 'the bridge of no return' with a bridge from one side of the stage to the other rising out of the ground during earth song. With MJ standing on the middle part of the bridge, this part was lifted even higher when all of a sudden the cables let go and the whole thing banged back below stage. It wasn't exactly free fall, but it still looked like a pretty impressive effect when you where there (which i was ). MJ continued to perform as if nothing happend (although he looked a little dazed), but later in the evening he was supposed to re-appear which never happened and rumours of him been taken to hospital started going around. This was confirmed the next day, although only minor injuries were reported, and as far as I remember, no back injury. "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

Which is kind of lame really. Why not cut out his name?

Beacuse Invincible was a sorry excuse for an album. A few good songs, but overall it was more controlled by MJ's crappy managers. Whoever heard of some inexperienced shady managers being in charge of recuiting producers for an album while the artist himself just turns up to the studio when he feels like it, never certain if he's high or not? I mean for Christ's sake, they even contacted awful British boyband A1 to submit songs.

Awww a Michael Jackson fan who isn't just saying how awesome "Invincible" was and how it was under-rated, yes it had a few good songs, but it was no 'Dangerous' either. So refreshing to read your above post!

I seem to recall trolling some groupie message boards once and there was a pair who'd claimed to have talked Slash and MJ into kissing. Quite the mental image, that. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
