Jamie Foxx CD Anyone get this yet? I picked it up today and it is ok but i dont
like all the guest rappers on it...the rappers take a heavy sexual/sexy R&B record and make it a vulgar hip-hop record

Sadly, I like Luda's rap in Unpredictable. I guess cause it is kinda tounge in cheek. Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0
Thank You SO much Saint Expedite for your help Thank You Virgin de Guadalupe for helping my friend Thank You Saint Anthony for returning my wallet to me untouched

now Jamie's first CD back in the mid-90s was good so i had my hopes
up that he would follow through on this one..again it is cool but i could live without the rappers on half of it

I got it. I think he's trying to attract a young audience and at his age, he shouldn't. His first album, "Peep This" was much better

with the things he talks about on the album, it really isn't for those hormone raging teenagers.... I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I thought it was just me. I was a bit turned off from the overt sexual content. I also thought he was a little old for this sorta thing. I do like Unpredictable but it sounds like an album any male R&B singer today could put out and I guess I expected more from him. My mistake. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I agree | |

Jamie's music suffers from the same problem that ailed Robin Williams' film career at first - he's trying to be both comedian and a "serious talent" (not that I think comedy isn't legit) at the same time. It makes for an awkward listen.

I'll never be able to take Jamie seriously as a lady's man after he came out, offering to be Lenny Kravitz's bitch on the Lenny Live DVD.

No one will ever accuse him, or Tank of being lyricists. I'm even dissapointed with the Mike City tracks. I think when he gets real with himself and stop pandering to the mareket, the songs are good. I like the song Heaven, Wish You Were Here and his remake of Love Changes with MAry. I even like Unpredictable-- I think Luda is clever with his sexual word-play. BUt the cd is ok at best, tyo me.

I gotta admit I liked song he sang on Oprah - not "Unpredictable" but the one about his daughter being an angel or something It was simple - decent lyrics, piano, corny as fuck but that's okay sometimes
I thought about getting it for 1/2 a second. Sounds like he likes to keep the topics pretty juvenile though, I doubt I'll partake

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

i can agree, sounds like he's trying to hard to prove something....somehow he doesn't sound like anyone out of the ordinary from those other non-singing teeny boppers who talk about nothing but getting naked all the time... he might can sing, but i prefer him as a comedian/actor I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not even a Luda fan and I wanted Luda to take over on the song and make it his. I haven't heard the album but the song is pretty boring to me. His stuff sounds dated, content wise and his lyrics are very close to being trash. I love the dude as a comedian and when he's acapella on the pi-ana ( ) but his stuff just doesn't move me.
