The Best Male R&B group of all time....

We always have threads on here about who is the best girl group: Destiny's Child, The Supremes, EnVogue...etc.

But we never discuss the classic male R&B groups.....The Dells, The Dramatics, The Stylistics, The O'Jays, The Ohio Players...but my all time favorite group hands down is....

It's hard to sya R&B group, their are different types of R&B. It would be eisier if you narrow it down.

The Moments
The O'Jays
The Jackson 5

they can all be canidates, but they did different R&B.

--The Moments were more slow jams and smooth grooves
--The Jackson 5 were bubblegum soul, doing lots of uptempo jams (also some call the Jackson 5 a band)
--The O'Jays were more of the political type group
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

War
The Stylistics
Blue Magic
The Delfonics
The Dramatics

Just to name a few.

from top to bottom--nobody was better than the Temps in their prime--paul, otis williams, eddie kendricks, david ruffin and then dennis edwards--although other groups had outstanding lead singers, you'd be hard pressed to name the rest of the group

the miracles--smokey and....?
the four tops-- levi and.....?
the chi lites-- eugene record and.....?
the spinners--phillippe wynn and....?
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

The Jackson 5 were good..The Jacksons were better.
Difference? Age
I like Michael's adult voice tons better then his child voice. Not to say both aren't great. I think it is just a matter of taste.
Either way..The Jacksons get my vote.

The Jacksons are forever the bomb, to be sure (even if I get sick of hearing how great somewhat played-out stuff like "Blame It On The Boogie", "Can You Feel It", "Heartbreak Hotel", etc., etc. are when they had lesser hits or non-hits that are on the same level of excellency). I'm partial to the Jackson 5, though, because of that rich, timeless Motown sound and Michael's voice being at its peak (just listen to "Who's Lovin' You".. adult Mike couldn't feck with that).
