"Time after time" by Cyndi Lauper

There`s many great ballads from the 80s, and this one is probably one of the best.
There was much more to Cyndi in the 80s than just her image...

I liked it's inclusion in Romy And Michelle's High School Reunion.

Remember that Miami bass remake version from like `97 by INOJ?

It was weird because it took away the "ballad" vibe.

Yeah, the video is good, i wonder if it`s available on dvd... hmmm
I bought the Goonies movie recently, and Cyndi`s Goonies r` good enough video was featured. She made some decent videos in the 80s, and i think she helped create MTV, that probably sounds crazy to some, but i would compare it to what Diana Ross did for Motown nod

My favorite Cyndi song, absolutely gorgeous. But i don't really like the version on her acoustic album with Sarah McLachlan

You should try out the Miles Davis version of "Time After Time". There is a studio version from the album "You Are Under Arrest" (1985), which is beautiful, and several live versions. Best live version to me is to be found on "Live Around The World" (released in 1996, covering performances from his last tour). This version is haunting and awesome. Go for it!

Cool song, yes. It's basically a slowed down version of Little Red Corvette opening chords.

i remember that old patti labelle special on nbc when she and cyndi sang TAT...cyndi held her own, but patti was still in that wild side stage of her career and pretty much mopped the floor with cyndi evillol

BTW..that was the first time "skinny" Luther Vandross appeared...we were all like "who the fuck is that--that ain't Loofa"

By far my favorite Cyndi song ("True Colors" is very nice, but this one is so beautiful) and also one of my favorite ballads ever.

I loved Cindy back then, and the song - though played to death - still remains beautiful

the Miles Davis version mentioned above is cool too, though it has a strong "cash in" smell to it... he also did Human Nature on that very same album...
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

YES!!!! I saw it performed live with Patti on some show in the 80's, I think it was a special or something, anyway Amy Grant was on that show too.

it was then I truly realized that Cyndi could SANG her ass off, she was really hanging with Patti note for note so much that Patti just looked at her like WOW!

anyone pick up her new acoustic cd?
