I'm an o.g. fan of the Peppers. When I was in Jr. High, a lot of us used to always go see them and Fishbone (both bands are L.A. natives) at the no age limit Whisky A Go Go. This was waaay before they blew up with their masterpiece album "Blood Sugar Sex Magik". Dig their Crowley influence in the spelling of magic. Anyway, "Suck My Kiss" is bangin' and is the Peppers right on the brink of world wide fame. The chorus is especially killin'. Anyway, who else here digs this cut?

Also, crazy ass video of this song as well. MTV wore this out and took the Peppers out of the clubs to the arenas damn near overnight.

They definitely peaked on this record. I still like them, but everything was working for them on BSSM.

I saw the Bangles (sad, I know) in 1986 and this crazy band opened up for them. We thought, "who are these idiots?" Well, guess who...

That's the song/video that got me interested in them... was blown away to find out that George produced these guys at one point. BSSM was the shit, but I was more of a fan of One Hot Minute.

Yeah, that's why I got their album when it first came out cuz I knew that Clinton had produced it. I was kinda let down cuz I was expecting some Funkadelic Cosmic Slop type shit. But yeah, I was really into the Peppers during Jr. High. Their o,g. lineup was their best.
