Ironically, that was probably her best performance of the year.

Here's the worst:

I hate Mariah Carey, but be real about that AMA performance. She pulled out her ear monitor onstage. I don't know why she did it. But, you can't hear yourself w/out those things. All you'll hear is a 2 second delayed echo of yourself. That probably wouldn't have happened if she would've bothered showing up for rehearsals.

lol I do - it gave her an excuse!

Here are the following excuses I've heard from her fams for her shitty-ass performances ALL DAMN YEAR:

-she was "nervous"
-she was wearing heels
-she was walking and singing at the same time and that's too tough
-she had to walk down stairs while singing and that's too tough
-she had feedback problems
-she had ear monitor problems

And about 10000 others.

If this were an isolated case you might have a point. But DFAU at the AMA's was probably her best performance of the year. Maybe she should rip that ear monitor out more often.

eek SHIT! that's just as bad as the other one!! It seems she's more concerned about "looking" good than "sounding" good. She did just fine wearing the black she used to, and could bring the house down. Now she's almost big as a house and the shit ain't workin. Mimi disbelief I'm a HUGE Whitney fan, and my sister was a HUGE Mariah fan and we would argue all the time about who's better. Now either one of us can say shit. Well, except me. I have Prince now.

I don't know about all the other performances, and don't care. But, you're saying she purposefully wrecked her own performance? I watched her pull out her earpiece at the beginning. The cameras were rolling on that mess. I wouldn't take her word for it. However, I saw her do it and that will mess up a performance. IT's a shame that someone that's been around that long doesn't know how to work an earpiece though.

Naw, that was a joke, her performance was fucked anyway. Why she actually pulled it out? My guess is it wasn't working. wink

She probably can't. And the weight gain, unless she exercises vocally on a regular basis, isn't helpful. I know that when I'm going through my piglet phases I can't sing worth a damn. When my tummy muscles are out of shape, I can't BREATHE, can't hold a note...just basically a disaster! I love Scariah, but for the sake of her instrument, somebody needs make that child pull out an AB ROLLER, or make her do the Old Skool "ABS OF STEEL" tv workout 2 weeks prior to her live performances. I'm telling you, a taught abdomen works wonders for your vocal abilities, even if you slack off on consistent vocal exercises nod

(and I know my suggestion is the cheater's way of getting through a gig, but hey lol )...

I've been trying to tell people that her vocal difficulties aren't really from her vocal chords; they're from her diaphragm and her lungs. In other words, she is having issues with breathing when she sings. While the weight gain probably has something to do with this, it wouldn't matter so much if she did any cardio exercise on a regular basis. However, she loves to eat well and drink lots of Cristal, and she hates to exercise. But this lack of exercise is hurting her vocal ability, as she has to strain to hit most of her notes, and on top of that, singing her lower notes in a whisper tone puts more strain on her vocal chords than just singing normally.

I know she's very conscientious about her mouth and throat, but she needs to get a personal trainer to get her on a cardio workout program as well so she will have more lung power. She also needs to stay away from smoky areas visited by her hip hop friends so the fumes don't damage her vocal chords.

typing blunt stoned smoker weed

I guess it's different for different people - Luther sounded much better when he was bigger nod His voice seemed weak when he was thinner IMO confused
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart
