This song is off the chain. The late great Curtis Mayfield put out some great material. This song is one of my favorites. Hard times is is slammin too.

This is my favorite Curtis Mayfield song. Actually, I never heard until 2002. I heard it on the radio that year one Saturday when I was out shopping. My very next stop was the record store, where I bought it immediately.

We have one station that absolutely jams on Saturday afternoons only (which is where I heard this song). They play the best of the old school and I've even heard vinyl pops on some of them. Other than that, they play current and old "soft soul".

This song still moves the dance floor. Real music.

thats the type of song you would hear in a Pam Grier movie too.
