If it were just her in the video, I'd agree with you, but there's real athleticism involved with the dance and the video itself is beautifully filmed. Her dancing in the video is good, but I think her backup dancers show her out! They've got a lot of poise and flexibility. Janet's dancing is really good in Pleasure Principal, but as a whole I think the video's kind of lacking.

It's funny since you'd expect Madonna to have a lot more hardcore dance vids, but she doesn't. In a way, Lucky Star is a classic dance video. Madonna is often much more concerned with telling a story in her videos.

Yeah, Smooth Criminal is an obvious choice for most everyone. I chose TPP because it's dance in its purest form. I'm not looking for style or storyline, just the dance. Lucky Star I would rate above Vogue since it's just Madonna working it on her own. Even if the dances are very simplistic, it gives you the best idea of what Madonna's all about. Vogue will forever bore the fuck out of me.
