Not huge differences.

But for example Get Together is 15 seconds shorter and cuts the outro and the annoying ass alarm bell intro.

And Push is much better with a direct intro.

...that sounds alot like Pink Floyd's Time

for those of you who are keeping score...

'COADF' is Number 15 on this week's Billboard Albums chart. It sold 123,927 copies last week,a 28% increase from the previous week. The total US sales are 886,725 copies. It will easily reach platinum status by the end of this month.

So,it looks like the album is still selling around 100,000 copies each week in the US.Way to go,Maddy!

I think sales will get bigger once "Sorry" rolls around. My reason? When Gwen released L.A.M.B., it wasn't selling too spectacularly until she released Rich Girl, and with Hollaback Girl, sales exploded.Same with Britney's last album. Sales started to slow down until the release of Toxic, which pushed the album. My point? So far Confessions is selling alright, and with Sorry, it could sale even more

One thing I have learned is that,it is really, really hard to determine/predict what will be a hit these days. Many people said that "Hung Up" would fail on the U.S. charts, and yet it still reached the Top 10.So,it's hard to say what will happen when "Sorry" and "Jump" are released as singles.Pop music is very unpredictable.

Madonna's CD is already a hit,and it is reaching it's audience. That's all that matters.Bring on the tour!!

disbelief IMHO, the continuous mix is one of the coolest parts of COADF!! biggrin

I agree.I love the continuous mix.Reminds me of those late 70s disco albums, where the songs were all connected.I especially love how "Forbidden Love" segues into "Jump" music the album is like one long Eurodisco mixtape.

I'm not gonna buy the iTunes version. The songs are actually shorter disbelief

Unfortunately the continuous mix in this case means the individual tracks are not as tight on their own. Price could have done a continuous mix that was both tight and confluent (as was the norm on late 70's disco albums because they didn't have extra room on the vinyl for dull intros & outros), but he didn't. The songs are shorter (by 15 seconds at most), but that doesn't mean they aren't better wink

I disagree.I think Stuart did a great job with the continuous mix.I can't tell you how much fun I am having with this album lol

and according to GangstaFam...on the iTunes version, the "percolating" beat that we hear throughout "Forbidden Love" doesn't appear at the beginning of "Jump" (like it does on the regular CD).That is unforgivable hmph!

See, I just heard the non-continuous mix and enjoyed some songs a lot better. I think that the quiet build up to some of the songs lends them a different quality. I certainly had a different experiece when listening to Future Lovers and Jump...both songs I wasn't too fond of. I dunno, I wish she had kept the continuous mix to the special edition or something. The non mix tracks sound very "single like" Maybe it depends on what you heard first and have grown to like.

And I like how Jump starts without the segue. My only issue is that the only way to get the non-tracked version is to get it off of iTunes in mp3 format instead of cd quality pout

I think the intro is fine without it...ILNY doesn't have the sirens on the mixed version....so there.

My favorite part of COAD is the "percolating" intro to "Jump". Sounds like Kraftwerk.

She should have released tracked & untracked versions on CD. Of course the fans would buy both, therefore doubling sales. lol

I suppose I am just the type of person who will never listen to some tracks on this record again, so I don't want them continuously mixed lol For example, I will never listen to Isaac or I Love New York again, so it's better for the songs that bracket them to be separate entities for my listening at least.

In the end the tracked version is the one I'm happy with.
I never listen to it straight thru - I program in 4 or 5 songs & thats enough.

Thats not just Madonna - I do that with every cd I listen to - theres seldom any cd I put on & just let it play. A CD maxi-single with 5 or 6 different songs is my idea of a perfect cd.

I am the same way...or will be. I will get to a point where I can put the album down and will want to hear select trax and not want any leftovers from the previous and next songs to taint the one song.
