Come Together
Writer, lead vocal: John Lennon

Here come old flattop he come grooving up slowly
He got joo-joo eyeball he one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker he just do what he please

He wear no shoeshine he got toe-jam football
He got monkey finger he shoot coca-cola
He say "I know you, you know me"
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free
Come together right now over me

He bag production he got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard he one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his armchair you can feel his disease
Come together right now over me

He roller-coaster he got early warning
He got muddy water he one mojo filter
He say "One and one and one is three"
Got to be good-looking 'cause he's so hard to see
Come together right now over me

Available on:

(UK) Abbey Road, The Beatles 1967-1970, Anthology 3, Beatles 1
(US) Abbey Road, The Beatles 1967-1970, 20 Greatest Hits, Anthology 3, Beatles 1
single

The bass is so awesome in this track...the rhythm is slower but the tones will bust out a window in your soul. "good for a starter." also "lady madonna" has some great drum sounds.."ringo starr does the vocals."

start with "1" and see how you like their commercial stuff...

then get ready for the big guns... the amazing stuff.

Revolver
Rubber Soul
White Album (my alltime favorite 2cd set)
Magical Mystery
Sgt Pepper
Abbey Road
Anthology 2 and 3 (its a must)

can't go wrong with that.

REVOLVER & RUBBER SOUL all the way!

George was my favorite though and ABBEY ROAD and WHITE ALBUM are my personal favorites....so much melody, diversity, and some of Harrison's most beautiful work with the band....plus 'Helter Skelter' & 'Happiness is A Warm Gun' are undeniably genius!

White Album took me by suprise upon first few listens.. could'nt digest this new sound.. although it wasnt new.. it was just "beatle" music.. in its best form..

didnt take long to become some of the best music in my catelog...

not to mention the sequencing of the album.. pure gold.

Sorry 'bout that, didn't read carefully enough wink
I don't like Lady madonna that much...even live I didn't care too much.
sorry confused

I don't hate it...in fact I like it cool
But not on my favorites list...not even within the first 50

Totally depends on what kind of music you like.

Please Please Me
With the Beatles--50's influenced pop/rock & roll

Hard Days Night--Classic Beatlemania, the Beatles' "Dirty Mind"

Beatles for Sale
Help
Rubber Soul--Beatlemania that's becoming more ambitious/stony

Revolver
Sgt Pepper
Magical Mystery Tour--Their most ambitious/psychedelic period

White Album
Let it Be--Getting back to the live rock, but more mature & modern sounding.

Abbey Road--Their most polished rock album.

Of course there's the #1's record--can't go wrong there.
And I grew up with the Red & Blue compilations, but that's a bit more money.

For albums I'd probably have to recommend:
1. Abbey Road
2. Sgt Pepper
3. The White Album

When I was young I thought that voice was John--same as in You Never Give Me Your Money "Out of college money spent..."

It used to be really difficult for me to tell them apart, now it's so obvious.

The Yellow Submarine Songtrack (from 1999) has a good mix of the mid to late stuff. Unlike other compilations, there's only two singles on there and the rest are album tracks. Plus it sounds fantastic because all the songs were remixed at the time of the movie's DVD release.

Don't confuse it with the Yellow Submarine Soundtrack though, as that only has six Beatles songs on it.

The bass on Only A Northern Song hypnotises me everytime I listen to it.
