One of the best musical parodies of post Beastie Boys influenced era underground hommage ever set to tape.
Is the Smigel Jew Conspiracy Xmas up yet? That's hilarious.

I haven't called a radio station in years, but I was tempted JUST to request "The Chronicles of Narnia" rap. The irony is that it's a good song, done very well. I love the piano.
And "Christmastime For The Jews" was driving me crazy. I was thinking who did they get to sing the song that sounds so authentic. Turns out it was the great Darlene Love, who sings my favorite Christmas song "Nobody Wants To Be All Alone On Christmas".

First off the video is straight like a old def jam beasties video and second the call and response pass the baton with the shouting the lyrics in unison. House of Pain had like 2 hits. Beasties were seminal for N.Y. Even the Jackets they rocked and their mannerisms. And let's remember most kids in N.Y. License to ILL caught on fire with them. And they stayed for years to come past Check your Head and Ill Communication These guys are clearly Beasties listeners.

I like this song and video but I'm suprised no mentioned Darlene Love's "Christmastime For teh Jews". Robert Smigel cartoons are usually brilliant and I think this might have been his best. It really sounded like a Phil Spector song.

Check your Head and Ill Communication are the hardest they ever came and still sounds like nothing like the style their immatating. The video elements yes but, Parnell especiialy is doing everlast from House of Pain.
