Love wont wait- madonna song?

I remember this song a few years ago. Take that member did a solo album and this cut, the rather fluffy "love wont wait" says it was written by m.ciccone and shep. It must be early madonna, due to the bouncyness(?) of it all.

Great lil' uplifter though, any madonna fans know this, off "open road" album by gary barlow.

It's from the Bedtime Story's Era, one of the outtakes from the sessions she did with shep...

u like it then? Iam surprised it was that late. It sounds so much older due to the rather simplistic lyrics (nowt wrong with that mind)

It was a Madonna demo 1st. It's really strange because it sounds unlike most other things she's done (particularly different from the Bedtime Stories sessions). She does some rather impressive vocals on the track. 90% of songs from that album were sung in her lower register, this one is pretty high. I can see why it wasn't included on any albums, but I'm very fond of it.

I love Madonna's original version of this song, in a guilty pleasure sort of way. It's pop perfection. It reminds me a lot of the song "True Blue" (except that it's good).

Love Wont Wait was one of the initial demos she wrote with Shep Pettibone for the album that became Bedtime Stories. I think Inside Of Me and Secret were among the others. After they parted company madonna kept those two tracks and shep got to use Love Wont Wait. Initially all songs were credited soley to the other, however lately that seems to have changed.

Amazingly Love Wont wait is one of the most poppy things shes ever recorded. Her version is brilliant and features some of her best singing up to that point, although the instrumentation is dire - clearly a primative demo. I can hear this being a far more "up" disco number, in the vain of Deeper & Deeper if recorded properly. Its crying out to be released with some kind of modern remix of her demo. I think it would be great - fit in perfectly with songs like Hung Up. Pure unadulterated pop music.
