Bestest drummer in Amsterdam on December 6th, 2005? Our own bleeding Orger TonyWilliams!
Tonight, Abierman and I were handpicked by Roachford's drummer himself to come and see him play at the Paradiso. Even though we never met him before, even if we did not know which guy on stage invited us until Roachford introduced him, Aksel and I had handpicked TonyWilliams himself as kewlest person on stage... Mr TonyWilliams, thanks for the invite, the kewl performance, the :bitchslaps: and being introduced to another awfully kewl Orger! Also thanks for the chance to corrupt young jazz students to The Dark Side. A very special thanks to me special mate Abierman, for taking on poor old Gooey. What a bleeding good time... more in February! Woohoo!

Believe me, TonyWilliams urged me to put on the sunglasses, something I would NEVER if not drunk. I was wasted. I even smoked.

Hehehe This deserves the full story. Both Aksel and I are sobs. Getting invited by a guy whom we never met, Aksel thought he played the bass, I thought he played the keyboards. And we only knew his name. So we watched the band come on. Mostly jeans and shirts, except this one guy; neatly suited up, tie and hat. I immediately said; that guy's a Prince fan, cuz he looked like he just walked offa the Musicology stage. Then they started to play and we found out this guy could EASILY sit in for John Blackwell. Aksel commented that the drummer is the kewlest cat in the band. Then he started using an electronical drumpad and I go; he's a HUGE Princefan. THEN we hear a Lyn sample. Whoopdeedoo! Aksel did his huppeltje, I developed a grin. Then Roachford introduced the band and we found out the drummer was the guy that invited us! Ain't that cool? You know, meeting people off this site is always kind of cool cuz even if you do not get along, you can ALWAYS safely discuss Prince music. But us and TonyWilliams and Jens, his student, got along fine. We were kicked out of Paradiso, which was a first. Again, thanks all for a time well spent.

By the way - we didn`t leave at 6am. The bus was blocked by some poles that magically appeared on the parking lot of the Paradiso. We left at 9am. You should have seen me at the breakfast buffet at 6 am in the morning. I looked a little different than on stage during the gig.
To get over the hangover i am already drinking huge amounts of Kölsch. Supergeil! Konterbier. Love, love, love Hendrik Love...thy will b done
