shitty movies with great soundtracks

The first two off the top of my head:

Batman Forever
Batman & Robin

Both movies sucked monumentally and personally I like to pretend neither one ever existed, but I loved the albums! I still play them every once in a while. nod

This album is full of great songs, if anything you should buy it just for the Rick James written track "All my life"! Is there a funkier Mariah song? yes I know funk and Mariah don't usually go together but she tried it on with this album

well i'll be the one to state the obvious smile

great soundtrack to a rather silly movie. the movie is nice, in a cult
kinda fashion. but where you would watch the movie perhaps one or two
times every five years, just for camp fun, the soundtrack is really a
rather different affair. it's warm and otherworldly and it's still as
good as it was in 1986 when it was first released. an absolutely super
soundtrack.

I gotta check it out than.

I LOVE her version of "I didn't mean to turn you on" That is some funk. I didn't know she had it in her. I guess she is black. Or the person who produced the song for her is...

Jam & Lewis produced the song - and they barely changed the instrumentation or arrangements from their original 1984 production. Listen to the original.

It's incredibly dull. I've never been able to stay awake throughout it.

Can't believe I didn't think of UTCM.

I was gonna say Graffiti Bridge because the Prince tracks on it are stunning. The non-Prince songs kinda ruined it though. pout

I was no stranger to cutting weight when that movie came out so I guess I was interested from that point of view.

I think the movie was called Cool World, with Kim Basinger. The movie looked horrid

everything from Bowie to electronic to what was the thompson twins and even some
thrill kill cult
