My interview with Kimya Dawson (link) Hey all,
So here's the deal. I wrote an interview with Kimya Dawson (folk musician, 1/2 of the band Moldy Peaches, all-around cool lady) for a magazine that, as of early 2005, was very interested in publishing the story. Cue to mid-2005, when my editor left and was replaced by someone who allegedly was not as interested in the story. Suddenly my correspondence with the magazine in question ceased, and after a few unanswered queries, it became abundantly clear that the story would not be published. Fast forward, finally, to the end of 2005. I have this damn story that was never published and on which I worked very, very hard. It's been sitting in my hard drive for months. Aging. Congealing. Getting mildewy and skanky. Well, you know, I want people to read it. I want Kimya fans to enjoy it, and I want people who have never heard of her to know who she is (kinda why I wrote the story in the first place). SO, as a little "Happy Holidays" prezzie from me to you all, I've posted the interview in my blog: thegleeclub.blogspot.com Kind of a modest presentation compared to the intended destination of the story, but if you have fun reading it, it's just as good. Enjoy.

Didn't know you had a blog. Good stuff!
I''ve always liked how she comes across in interviews, but I've yet to get into any of the music. Stuff I've heard is a little too DIY for me, though sounds like the newest one is a little more produced?
