She's hot and her songs are ok
but i don't understand why she sings in that froglike voice , it's unnatural to me

ok she has some talent. However, she is not the best rock en español artist, no matter all that publicity about her qualities as a crossover queen. Plus, she sells too cheap some Latin American musical traditions (trova, samba,tango, etc.). And like Julio Iglesias and Luis Miguel and Enrique Iglesias before her, she has just one thematic in her songs: she is in love, the man treat her bad (or, less frequent, good). But it is important to say also that her Spanish albums are better than her English ones.

I like Shakira's Spanish albums a lot, but you're right. If you're looking for the best rock en español/Latin alternative artists, look elsewhere like Aterciopelados or Cafe Tacuba. I also really like Icaro Azul, but damn, they take a long time to release new music.
