70s: Marc bolan, The Specials (but thats cutting it a bit fine, very late 70s)
80s: Prince, Duran Duran
90s: Prince, The Prodigy
00s: Prince, Outcast,Kanye West, Gorillaz, the White Stripes, Myself(!)
yeah it is pretty hard to find a strong 'artists' of the recent decade

Nah! not really into Prince that much his stuff is to raunchy for me esp. the old stuff! my real favourite artists are:

60s: cliff richard (the man! how can anyone compare 'living doll' to 'dirty mind'? i dont understand it)
70s; gary glitter (of course)
80s: shaken stevens (the greatest)
90s: cliff richard (again. he never fails to bring out great xmas songs year after year)
00s: shaken stevens (had a great comback recently, that tune rocked)

At first I created a list, 4 decades times 9 artist, then before posting, I re-read ur rules.this was very difficult 4 me.(smile), but it was fun.
