MJ and Madonna were born only a few days apart.

They're also from midwestern states that are close to each other (Madonna from Michigan...MJ from Indiana...Prince from Minnesota).

They experienced their grestest success in the mid-80s (1983-85) and are largely considered to be the biggest superstars of that decade.

hmmm coincidence?

Year of the Dog

1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006

People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people¡¦s confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit.

+++++=

Good for Madonna for just telling it like it is. Nothing really controversial there.

I noticed some pretty pivotal things were happening to MJ in the years of the dog. In 1958 he was born, in 1970 he became famous worldwide, in 1982 Thriller was released, in 1994 he was embroiled in child abuse allegations and in 2006? hmm

Of course Madonna is a genius. Look how relevant she still is this deep into her career. Gotta hand it to her, that's Longevity. I love her new album. It's a million times better than American Life. I've not enjoyed an album of hers this much since probably Like A Prayer.

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

I think Madonna has had a long and influential career; she is a true icon..she's savvy as all hell....but she's far from a genius...As far as MJ I think his genius can be seen more in his live stage performances during his prime years than his actual records....

i think that in time the world will realise that Michael Jackson is the true musical icon and inspirational genius of our time. His music transcends all boundaries, he doesnt release music to fit in with the time, to appeal to a certain market.

Prince's stuff is far too inward looking and he lacks the ultimate gift of melody, something that Michael is a master of.

Madonna is an icon of the cultural kind, she's inspirational but her actually musical talent is nothing on MJ/Prince.

Prince is an icon because he doesnt follow trends and since the very beginning he has shown a desire to follow his own heart even when it leads him in a direction that could ultimately hurt his career/sales.

I think all three of them are living geniuses at what they do.

Madonna is the genius of reinventing her image, no other female artist has changed are image to perfection like she has. Of course she's not a great vocalist, lousy actress, and a mediocre dancer, but she's always coming with something new with her image, and that's unique.

Prince is a genius of production and songwriter. Prolific is the word for this guy. He's the only artist, along with MJ, that has borrow from other people's style; Hendrix's clothes and guitar, Little Richard's makeup/homosexual look, and Stevie Wonder/Sly Stone sound, but made it their very own with carbon copying or copycatting other artist.

Michael Jackson, dismiss all of the bullshit from the media and the personal lifestyle and controversy, he's the master of performance. Yes, the moonwalk was invented by Bill Bailey, his poplocking/robot style is from the Lockers and Soul Train dancers, tossing his hat to the audience come from Marvin Gaye, and the majority of his style came from James Brown, he made all of those things his very own and perfected it so well that James Brown is a fan of his.

These three are the master at what they do best, they're not the greatest artist ever, and they've had controversial lives (but what genius entertainers haven't had controversial lives, remember Richard Pryor).

To prove that these people are geniuses, all you have to do is look at the music industry now.

And you might as well add Tupac also.

If we could find some way to combine Michael, Madonna, and Prince into one being -what would we get? An absolute genius or a fucking nutjob? Both, maybe?

Whatever the result would be, there'd be no stopping it. MaPrincael would rule the world! eek
