There are a boatload of folks here that have an amazing General Knowledge of musical artists. You all know who you are.
I don't want to make a long list and take a chance on inadvertently leaving someone out. (Especially today. Just got back from the dentist and am incredibly high on Vicodin and other stuff) 
The one i'd have to give the award to in the GK category though would be Paligap. Specific things i'm picking up through the haze... Sdldawn - All things Beatles TheRealFiness - Jimi, house, records almost nobody else knows exist Anxiety - David Bowie, Sonic Youth VoicesCarry - Janet Jackson and female vocalists in general Langbleu(?) - Prince Goo & Sartoria  - Prince (closest to the source that I know)
DavidEye - 70s Pop MinnieG - Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page sosgemini & madartista - Wendy & Lisa What Rip said - MJ thesexofit - everything nobody else likes
