Move over Prince: Ryan Adams is my new favourite artist Just listened to the new Prince song, and I must say it sounds like a very, very average song indeed. Where's the man's fire gone?
Thank god I have new Ryan Adams cd's to fill the gap that Prince filled for so many years... [Edited 12/13/05 19:41pm]

Ryan is an awsome songwritter, probably one of the most underrated of our generation Sylvia Plath is an intellectuals Dorothy Parker.

Ryan has released 9 great to excellent albums since 2000, plus hes got a few unreleased albums that have leaked. The man is prolific. He gets a lot of flack in the media for doing his own thing and not putting out more commercial sounding records, but that only makes me like him even more. In a way he's taken over that "prolific artist" mantle from Prince, and ive seen this referred to in a few reviews. I reckon that those fans who got a buzz of princes prlific output, and those who also like alt-coutnry-rcok music should check him out. The man has a beautiful voice too.

I really like him, too. Lots and lots of material. He's got quite the ego, too. I saw him at the HOB and he yelled at people for talking while he was playing some acoustic songs.

Really love Love is Hell, and some of Gold, but I gotta say that most of his other stuff just leaves me cold. I bought Cold Roses earlier this year, and sold it back within a week of purchase. It just wasn't something that I would ever listen to again.
I think I like Ryan Adams better when he's not doing his usual style of music. When he gets back into that alt-country stuff, I can't listen to it. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.
