my guess: most poeple on the street would first name "I just called today I love you" when asked... Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

Superstition, i'd say.
My Cherie Amour is a favorite, though. Dynamic Savior Said: Also, do you think that ugly people are God's cruel joke on humanity (like the platypus and the heterosexual) or another form of population control?

Wow, One simple question. 3 different decades to choose from. That man is a genius. I'm mad at "Gangsters Paradise" for an answer

If you picked a random stranger on the street, I'd guess "I Just Called To Say I Love You" or "Part Time Lover". I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

Amazing that I Just Called to Say I Love You is his only tune to make #1 on both sides of the Atlantic. Looks like that's the winner. tA Tribal Disorder

I'm just gonna go ahead and assume that you mean "Pastime Paradise." I guess that makes "Gangster's Paradise" automatically the wrong answer!

Sadly, you're probably right Part Time Lover was a big hit at the time, but I don't really hear it that much anymore? I think many people may have forgotten it. Unlike "Superstition" (which seems to get played daily on VH1 Classic) and "I Just Called..." which still get lots of airplay on oldies stations.

The most famous hit is "I Just Called To Say I Love You".
After that I would say "Sir Duke" (even if people can't get the title right).

I feel a lot better about this if I judge "most famous" by his performance on the R&B chart. In that case...

I would say it's between "Always", "Superstition", "Livin' for the City", "I Just Called...", but more than likely it's "Ebony and Ivory" due to the McCartney factor. "Free yo mind and yo ass will follow" - George Clinton
