OK, why are some of the more talented artists in this day and age falling in with these so called groups of religious believers? I mean come on, is it part of the job of being in the spot light, you have to find a off the wall click to get in with?

Larry, I think has single handedly put out the fire Prince once had! And what’s up with Lauren Hill??

Why can't these extremely brilliant and I thought intelligent people find their own peace with GOD??

I think they looking for more in life. They have fame, succes, money. But they not really happy. And i dont think they trust other ppl. They always think that other ppl use them. So i think they looking for something to hold on to in life. They find that in religions and god.
I think its an escape from reality, like the re music is an escape from reality for us.
And i think ppl around them influence them. Not always good. I like larry grahams music, but he influenced prince a lot when it comes to JW. Fame can make ppl go coo coo.

I really don't mind at all that Prince has accepted Jesus as his savior, but what concerns me is the organized religion end of it. People can have a personal relationship with God without being in a "church". But I agree that it is probably because a part of them feels void.

well, there's another side to it. If you're really really talented and this talent hangs over you constantly (like it must be with Prince) you must start to wonder where this talent comes from and why you are the chosen one. It is quite natural that people with outstanding talent might believe that their gift comes from God. Therefore, they are more open to religion. Of course, this does not have to mean that they must accepted an organized form of religion, but I can understand that such people might link their inspiration with God. After all, talent, inspiration and art in general are inexplicable.

However, with Prince, who has been spiritual from day one of his career (look at the trinity image in For You album), in my opinion, his conversion to Jehova Witness' doctrine has as much to with his personal tragedies and difficulties in mid 90's and Larry's input at this time as with the fact that he is so incredibly talented.
