29 - Ryan Adams

It's there, Ryan Adams' third effort in 2005! I love it, great songwriting, some beautiful ballads! IMO better than Cold Roses & Jacksonville....

Unbelievable he's only 29!

Anyone else into it?

I downloaded it the other day, but haven't had chance to listen top it properly, but from what ive heard sounds like classic Ryan. I fucking loved Cold Roses and Jacksonville City nights. I think this year he's demonstrated what he's all about. I know one of his main criticisms is that he doesn't have good enough quality control, but for me id rather have all 3 albums released this year, than say a double album of the best songs. Beautiful songwriting, great singing, an artist at his peak who can do no wrong IMO. A bit like prince circa 1986/1987.

I have, 3 times. Different every time. Live he is intruiging. Brilliant, annoying, off his head, funny, emotive, cold, just a complete mash up of things. I wouldnt call him a natural show man exactly, he seems to get pissed off more than he has great shows from what i can tell, but everytime ive seen him he's been on good form.

me too, 3 times! 2 times with band, one time solo on piano and acoustic guitar.....that was truely amazing! I also like it when he tries to be the rock 'n roll bad-ass.....it's just funny!

Great songwriter, great performer with a wicked sense of humour!
