80's R&B vmale vocal battle:Prince "Adore" VS Babyface "Where Will You Go"? two of the best flat out male r&b vocal performances of the 1980's you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I like Babyface. But Prince wins this one. Adore? Man, you know that song was one of the best ballads of all time. If you don't love that song, you're either deaf or an idiot -- probably both!

This shit is crazy. Adore, without even thinking. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

Y'all are dismissing this a little too quickly. As far as a vocal battle it's close enough. Adore works on many more levels when you add the music and the lyrics themselves, so it's the better song in my opinion, but Where will you go is pretty good in its own right.

But I can't even REMEMBER "Where Will You Go"

This is a easy one for me. It would be Adore over where will you go. Basbyface is okay but Adore is a beautiful ballad.

Now that aint no kind a battle at all. Prince vs Babyface is like a battle between a rottweiler and a kitten.

Very funny! I agree. Adore is just too good of a song. BTW, Babyface came out of the R & B group the Deele. I recently bought their greatest hits cd and y'know what? Just about all their songs sound alike. There's a little variation here and there. But mostly, it's the same thing. I"m not knocking the Deele. They were a good group. But one thing this did was give me a greater appreciation for Prince and his ever evolving music style. Though there are certain Prince tracks that sound similar, you can't say that about all of them. The man is very eclectic..

But I can't even REMEMBER "Where Will You Go" It's the last song on the Tender Lover cd I believe. It's worth checking out, but then maybe it's a nostalgia thing for me. I haven't heard it in a while.

Seriously, Babyface had some good slow jams during the 80's. But did he have to do an Lionel Ritchie and forsake THE Funk in the process???? And to make matters worse, when The Deele broke up, Babyface forgot to take his Yamaha DX7 synth with him!!!!
