It's Time To Wake You MFs Up Again......"Haven't You Heard" by Patrice Rushen Alright now, it's getting kind of dead up in here again so let me light a fire up under your asses to wake y'all up. "Haven't You Heard" is my favorite jam of the very talented Ms. Patrice Rushen.
Anyone feeling this one? Andy is a four letter word.

This is an all-time favorite. I hate that Kirk Franklin uses it in his new song. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I heard some gospel group loop this. You really can't mess up that groove.
Anyone remember the house edit "I Feel Good Things For You" by Daddy's Favorite?

Cool tune.
She took a lot of heat for this record from those who thought she should've gone the female Herbie Hancock route. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Sh!t, that whole album(Pizzazz) is killer. IMO, Patrice doesn't get the credit she deserves. Very underrated artist. "Straight from the Heart" is on my greatest albums of all time list.

I know it irks the hell out me also as Ms. Rushen's music is the only reason that Kirk's song is getting major air play. This is one of my favorite Patrice Rushen songs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is one of my favorite Patrice Rushen songs. i was just going to bring this up. It's bad enough that the current R&B and hip hop acts use samples like its a necessity, but now we are going to have gospel artists sampling from pop, R&B samples as well??? All you are doing is just adding "God" to the song, is that suppose to make it a gospel song just by that??? Kirk Franklin gets on my nerves anyway, he doesn't sing, he's like the P.Diddy of the gospel genre... I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
