Great choices so far, Jagged Little Pill and Post were defenitive albums of 95.
but my choice

Three #1 's also features "Underneath the stars" top 5 all time best Mariah tracks. Melt away was also a standout.

"Slipping Away" is my favourite from that era. and maybe my favourite Mariah song. nod i think it would've been a hit for her.

It's fucking genius, that's what it is. Only let down by You Are Not Alone being the schmaltzy pile of dis-attached wank that it is.

I considered. I had a hard time placing my #5. It was between Prince and Bowie. Right now, I'd pick Prince. The first 4 are pretty much set in stone. After that, I'm not so sure.

It was 94, I was in tenth grade and 'RED LIGHT SPECIAL" was the slow jam that got played at every HighSchool party I went to.

I still have all my personal albums of the year lists dating back to 1992

This was my top 10 of the year back in '95.

1. PJ Harvey - To Bring You My Love
2. Pizzicato Five - The Sound Of Music
3. prince - The Gold Experience
4. Elastica - Elastica
5. Belly - King
6. Rancid - ...And Out Come The Wolves
7. Switchblade Symphony - Serpentine Gallery
8. Sunshine Blind - Love The Sky To Death
9. Janet Jackson - janet. remixed
10. Suddenly Tammy! - (We Get There When We Do)

I no longer consider remix albums eligible so if I were to recreate it today 'janet. remixed' wouldn't be there anymore. And I'd place 'The Gold Experience' above Pizzicato Five.

edit: No Björk? What was I thinking back then? hmm
