The majority of the slow songs I liked from this era are mainly from Prince and his protegees. I can only think of about 3 or 4 slow songs by non-Prince artists that I like during this era. I like most of the slow songs from Ready For The World and Force MDs. I also like "All Cried Out" by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, "As We Lay" by Shirley Murdock, and "Be Your Man" by Roger. Other than those few, I can't think of anything else I liked. This was the era when slow songs started getting boring and depressing. They also started dominating the radio. Damn, that was a dull era. "You know who" is to blame for that. lol
