What is this Nobody Cares by Deborah Cox? When did that come out. I think the Neptunes should get it. Jimmy & Terry are disqualified for the Boots travesty.

Good to see that at least a few decent things were nominated
like Paul Mccartney's album and Beck's Guero and big surprise
for me was to see LCD Soundsystem on the list. I hope they're
going to pick up at least 1 grammy each.

Common was rightly recognized many times.

Why Pitty Gent and The Wack Eyed Peas were nominated so many times I'll never know.

Beck got dissed.

The Peas deserve their nods!

I got love for ya, d/f313, you KNOW I do, but other than "Joints and Jam," and a few gems from Beyond The Front, the WEP's are

woot! at U2's nominations, although it's not like they were omnipresent this year, as they were in 2001. I'm not sure if they "deserve" the nominations, or if they are just a "safe" Grammy choice.

Irregardless, HTDAAB was my album of '04 and '05, so I'd give it the Grammy if it was up to me.

Also, it's great to see the Arcade Fire getting a nod. Hope they win.

I would love it if someone other than Kanye or 50 Cent won in the Rap Category. It'd be nice to see Common accepting an award for a change.

Me too. I like Common.

omg i cant believe it. "hollaback girl?" IS THAT A FUCKING JOKE! damn the grammys are pathetic in trying to increase their ratings.

i cant believe the popular music industry right now. at least people are making hip hop and r&B--that's the only positive.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Not likely. I'd be surprised - and pleasantly so - if he does, but I doubt it. I think this is Pariah Scary's year.

well he might not get the album of the year, but I hope he grabs at least one..

he deserves it.. I even thought prince deserved his grammys.. although for a crap album.. his artistic abilites were better than his competition.

and hope beck grabs some too...

Normally I haven't heard all the nominees for best album the whole way through, but I have this year. I like his best, and musically speaking I think it's the more deserving one. But Grammy, in the same way Oscar does, likes to play catch up. This is Mariah's third nomination for best album without a single win. That makes me think the award is automatically hers. I'm pulling for Paul, but we'll see.

didnt paul get nominated a few years back for Vanilla Sky, and even before that.. Flaming Pie..

I agree with you.. but wouldnt this be considered "catch up" too?

I very much hope Kanye, Gorillaz or Franz Ferdinand get an award.

If Paul McCartney gets a Grammy I would certainly squirm in my seat. mad

Run that by me again?

'Ye deserves a Grammy for Be and some recognition for Late Registration. Gorillaz's "Feel Good Inc." is arguably the jam of the year. FF, I dunno anything about.

But why hate on the Beatle? confuse

u2 are the most overrated act in history, everything they put out gets nominated despite all of it sounding practically the same. Ill never get over the 87 grammies, absolute joke.

My money is on Mariah Carey this year. They havent given her any grammies since '90 and i think they will feel the need to pay her some respect this year for a complete reversal in fortunes and a return to good music, i say she's a safe bet for at least 4 wins.

Hi there,

Oh well… I do respect his past as a Beatle, who wouldn’t? smile

However, it would be quite a pity that the award went to a guy whose last international hit was interpreted by a choir of frogs... He is putting the poor Stella to a shame... lol

i'm pretty interested in who will win the grammy for album of the year....

either Kanye or Mariah will get pissed off, but if Kanye loses, i will be dying laughing at what arrogant comments he will have to say about it....

I think that catogery has recently become best single by a pop chick...or best vocal performance (it's not like Bonnie's song was a hit). Madonna was nominated for "Music", of all songs. Not great vocally!
