BECK, where do I start???

After reading the "your fav album of 2005" post, I saw alot of people choose Beck's "Guero" as one of the best.
I have ordered that album and "Seachange" (after reading the reviews on amazon.)
what other stuff from Beck would you recommend?
is the delux version/DVD of Guero better than the original?

the Delux version of Guero has some exlcusive songs/remixes towards the end.. and it comes in a white booklet type packaging with lyrics and nice photos... that will probably be a hard find in the near future.. wonderful set.

Yes, Guero is quite good... one of his best no doubt.

my other favorite beck cd's.. a quick rundown.

Sea Change - Literally means a "sea change" from his normal sound.. a drift into a mellow dark sea.. so to speak.. somber album, but beautiful.. its a timeless album.

Midnight Vultures - Crank this up and head out to the club. at least thats what it makes you wanna do. I always thought any prince fan that remotely likes beck would love this album.. many songs were inspired obviously by Prince on this one (Debra, Get Real Paid)

Mutations - Another really good album.. must check it out.. although I highley recom. Guero, Midnight and Sea Change before this one...

and of course his first two albums..

If you start loving him like I do.. you will then venture out and start finding tons of remixes and b sides... There is a lot of beck music out there.. and I assure you, most of his stuff is worth the find.

one song to find that is truely beautiful is the one from Eternal Sunshine "Everybodys Gotta Learn Sometime" Jon Brion did the instruments with beck vocals.. beautiful.

'Odelay' surely is the Beck album to start your collection with. Arguably his most well known and consistent body of work.

from Odelay onward you can't really go wrong. all of his albums
up to now are excellent. I just don't like his first two albums
that much.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with everyone. It's all about Midnite Vultures. The production is to DIE for on that record...at least the first half.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I started with Odelay but soon I stop hearing the CD, and never get another Beck album. I am always curious of Beck music, but I am no sure what CD could be the best option. I got the feeling that the guy changes a lot in every album.
Is just me or Odelay sounds dated already?
