You deliver news with the partiality of Fox! Madonna has yet to do any US promotion for the album, and despite this slip, she has almost tied the sales of American Life in 3 weeks. Besides, look at what a huge slip System of a Down had.

When Madonna hits the US, and 'Sorry' is delivered to radio, I'm confident that sales will increase. Mariah had an Oprah re-run to her benefit this week, Carrie Underwood has been whoring her album anywhere that'd have her, and the Now albums always sell well around the Christmas season.

only if madge pushes the album though and follows it with a show that highlights it as well..i always thoughtit was wierd that she pushed Re-Invent as a greatest hits album instead of pushing the album. Even if that wasnt her intent it came off that way.

Madonna needs to get her ass here to the states. Sales are still tight (doing ALOT better than American Life) but they're starting to slip a bit.

I have hope. I remember Gwen's album slipped until she released "Rich Girl", and then with "Hollaback Girl", it just sold like crazy.

Dont rule Madonna out yet

By the time of Re-Invention, I think that American Life was already dead and buried. Nothing could've brought it back to life. I think by presenting hits, Madonna was trying to get people to focus on her past successes instead of the failure of her album.

We'll see. It's not like Madonna's CD is a family friendly Christmas gift. Once she starts promoting "Sorry" in the states, I think it will pick up slightly.

Not so fast lol

These numbers are slightly off. When the official Billboard chart is released today,it will show that Madonna is at Number 8.Her album sold 105,367 copies last week.Total US sales are now 666,039 copies. It'll be platinum by Christmas.

And her "Hung Up" video is now back at Number One on TRL,after dropping to Number Two.

I just find it amazing that "Hung Up" is doing so well on TRL.Madonna is a 47-year old mother. That show usually focuses on teen acts and foul-mouth rappers. And a Number One is a Number One,no matter where it comes from lol

In any case,I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Maddy's album is already a hit. It's already gold in the States,on it's way to platinum.Total worldwide sales are over 4 million. There are many forgotten 80s artists who would love to have a "flop" like that, lol.

I don't since a genious Madonna fan rigged up some automated voter program. It allows one person to generate thousands of votes. The whole thing is pretty smart, but the retard who made it wrote a huge post about it on the board. They should've just IM'd people the details. I thought the whole thing was a ruse. Until I saw the post and clicked on the links that actually let me download the automater voter program.

I'm sure fans of every other artist vote and call numerous times. But, I doubt all of them have come up w/ a program to manipulate votes to that extent. And, it definitely takes away from the idea that the TRL kids are voting a 47 yr. old on to the countdown religiously.

The voter is certainly used by other fanbases, but as you said the Madonna fan was a twit to post it in the middle of a message board.

Anyways, I am a happy user of that voter. If radio won't support madonna then i'll just manipulate TRL and expose her new material through that route. It seems to work well too, becuase it generated sales to bring her in the top 10.So if radio doesn't want to promote her upcoming singles, i'll just use the voter and bring it to the top of TRL.
If that's seen as cheap, than fine. I'm not obsessive, i can have it run on my machine while i'm at work and if it means a higher position for my main bitch than fine.

Britney and Kelly Clarkson's fans found out about it and apparently reported it to MTV and nothing has happened so they probably don't care. They know she deserves top slot.

Eminem’s greatest-hits collection, Curtain Call 350k

Lil’ Wayne, 225k-250k

Korn 200-210k

Lindsey Lohan less then 100k

This is a big disappointment for eminem because this was supposed to be the biggest album in the forth qrt!!

The record industry was really bankin on it until now!!

50cent has similar problems maybe they r all fading!!!

I don't think anyone expected that album to be the biggest of the fourth qaurter since he really doesn't seem to be promoting it. I wouldn't be shocked if Lindsey album sells better than those figures suggest. The lead single is semi interesting (although her covers are terrible) and she's doing damn near every show there is.
