Actually, if I had to pick a really good video this year, it would be "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day, though you would have to see the complete version of it to really get the full message. (MTV and VH1 only played a condensed version of it.)

As far as the more traditional "Michael Jackson dance type" videos, I have to say that I liked "Helena" by My Chemical Romance.

I believe I've only seen 3 videos this year...the 2 Gorillaz vids and the Madonna vid

based on that I'd have to vote for the Gorillaz vids as my favorites. I can't pick one of the 2 as they both rock...
