Do you know this artist?

I recently heard a cool R & B song but don't know the artist. It was on CHUM-FM in Toronto, sounded like Prince's falsetto but it obviously wasn't, the words "Stand Up" were in the song. Can you tell me who sings it? Thanks!

There is a guy calles Remy Shand. His debut album called "Way I Feel" is out now. The single "Take a message" is on heavy rotation here in Germany. He sings in a high falsetto voice and makes me think of Prince, but also of Marvin Gaye and Jamiroquai. Maybe that´s the guy? But I don´t remember him singing "Stand Up".
See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

I was thinking the same thing, too...but it's the "Stand Up" part that doesn't fit...

I heard this guy recently too.

He sounded pretty dern cool.

The thing that attracted me was within the album's cover were pictures of some old vintage equipment.

Apparently this young "white kid" knows his stuff from what I listened too. You'd think he was raised by Stevie Wonder or something.

I haven't heard the whole album yet but the few tracks I did hear showed real tallent.

And you don't hear me say that about anyone new.

Thanks for the answers. I just heard Remy Shand's song and his falsetto is very similar to Prince's. He's really good.

R and B is doing really well right now. Between Remy Shand and Raphael Saadiq (and I'm sure there's more out there) the genre is having a good year.
