Madonna - Ultimate Remix Collection

Okay, so I have no life. lol

But these are just straight up pimp!

I haven't gone back to her singles much in recent years, so it's great getting back into all of this stuff.

I wanted all of my remix projects to play as close to an actual album as possible.

I named each set after a prominent remix title from the time; usually something that I found humorous or catchy for some reason.

This is the first and perhaps coolest of all.

I present to you..."I'm Not Your Bitch!"

"Madonna's...In My Jeep" and "Madonna's...Ashram" to follow. mr.green

Fans are making their own 'COADF' CD covers for the Unmixed version of the album that you can buy at iTunes. They're adding "SuperPop" as a bonus track, but they should really wait for "Fighting Spirit".Add those two bonus tracks, plus a few of the "Hung Up" remixes, and that would be an excellent Deluxe Edition, dontcha think?

Looks pretty cool. Not too familiar with the photo session, though. It's obviously Bedtime Stories era, right?

Thanks CHIC0!

I like the "Dear John" part too. giggle It's like she's telling the dude off that stole her coat but still signs the letter "Love, Madonna".

Where do you get the I Want You mixes? I don't recall a single being released.

And the LDLHA, Hot mix radio edit was never on my single, only the Soulpower mix was.

I wanna know where all these Madonna fans get these mixes. I'm such a fan in the making still.

Otherwise, another classy collection.

All those mixes are official but they're from promos. Not so easy to track down, but they can be found on Ebay.

A long time ago there was a really cool site called www.madonnacatalog.com. Well, the site is still around, but before the Madonna camp was really laying the smack down he offered a whole bunch of official remixes that were never released. The I Want You remixes by Junior were some that he offered as well as Junior's take on Like a Prayer. That same site was also the first to have the "English Funk Mix" of Justify My Love (my fave mix of that one outside of The Beast Within).

There are/were plenty of sites that offered them, but that's where I got them.

The "Howie Tee Remix" of Human Nature reminds me - for a long time, I really disliked those remixes. They were a bit of a letdown, but I've come to like them in the past couple of years, especially the "Runway Mix."

Good work. But Did You Do It? Did You Have To? lol
Do you think any of these mixes are better than the originals? I've never liked the album version of Love Don't Live Here Anymore (the Rose Royce original is one of my favorite soul slow jams), but I like the production on the "Soulpower Mix" a lot!

I've been looking for this for literally years. A couple of years ago, I started downloading it from Kazaa, but the download got cut off a minute into it. That was the closest I ever got. What does it sound like? I'm really curious.

Yeah, I had to. lol

It's pretty dire, but I had to put it somewhere. It always seemed like a bonus remix on the album, so I used it to compliment the Waiting remix. And I'm totally with you on the "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" business. They definitely made me love that song with the updated version. Never liked it much on "Like a Virgin".

Other ones that could contend with the album version would be...

Both the William Orbit and the Kenlou B-Boy/Madonna's in my Jeep remixes for "Erotica". Killer!

David's Klub Mix and Shep's Classic 12" for "Deeper and Deeper".

"Fever" Edit One kicks the album version's ass! Both the Murk Boys and the Hot Sweat mixes at least equal the album version, I'd say.

I'm probably one of the few who actually prefers the remixes of "Take a Bow" to the original.

I really like the "Secret" and "Bedtime Story" remixes too. Not sure how I'd compare them to the originals though.
