Unfortunately this talented band is no longer active anymore .
Saddest thing is that first Ernesto Phillips passed away .
He was the hubby of lead-singer Renee Diggs , who started to suffer from multiple scleroses in the mid/end 80's .
The loss of her hubby struck her hard , but she had an enormous willpower to survive ...
May they rest and funk in peace eternally ... we miss U .

I don't remember that song but I do remember "Don't Be So Serious" from that album. When I bought their 1984 45, "It's All Yours", I was pleased to see "Don't Be So Serious" on the B Side.

Thank you 100MPH! There was something about Renee Diggs that just did it for me. She's very beautiful, and seemed to have a very sweet personality. I was going to see them at First Avenue, But I came down with a nasty cold and couldn't go. That's too bad about Ernesto. Was he the guitar player in the band? He cracked me up in the "Object Of My Desire" video when he did his guitar solo and started shaking like he got shot with a taser gun. Good Band, They were tough.

BTW Renee died early this year, March 2005, not last year. I just learned about a couple months ago while I was listening to a UK New Jack Swing radio station on the net.

and her husband Michael stokes took the production
for most of the albums .
This was their last album in 1988 ,
and has the uplifting opening-track " Betcha Can't Lose With My Love " .
A few other firing joints are on this album .
Worth to search is their second album from 1982 ,
with excellent jams like " Red Hot Stuff " and " Get Off " ( not the Prince-song )
