funkadelic ever a live band

funkadelic music lovers i have a question for you.i know that parliament are the same musicians as funkadelic but
was funkadelic a live act under the same name or they always played live like p-funk.
i mean did the band ever peformed under that name...???

originally the Parliaments were originally a doo-wop vocal group, and Funkadelic was the backing band. Though they released a group album (as a band) in 1970 under the name Parliament (called Osmiumin), for the most part, from 69-73 they performed live as Funkadelic...once Clinton signed his whole mob to Casablanca, under the more R&b Horn-driven Parliament, they whole mob began touring as Parliament-Funkadelic...

I beleieve they combined the Parliment and Funkadelic name on his production company.
