Still, in my opinion, the best decade in music! You had dance mixes from the gay clubs, a lot of soul/RnB, remnants of the disco era, English new wave bands, and a planted seed for dance music of the '90s (like C & C Music Factory, Black Box, Deee-Lite, etc.) From the 80's, here are my picks in no particular order...
Vanessa Williams "The Right Stuff" Jody Watley "Looking for a New Love" Jody Watley "Real Love" Mel & Kim "That's the Way It Is" Bobby Brown "My Perrogative" Roxette: "She's Got the Look" Patrick Cowley "Megatron Man" The Cure "Why Can't I Be You?" Janet Jackson "Escapade" Dead or Alive "Misty Circles/You Spin Me Round" Carol Jiani "Hit 'n' Run Lover" Patrice Rushen "Forget Me Nots" Stephanie Mills "The Medicine Song" Karen Young "Hot Shot" Pointer Sisters "Automatic" Pointer Sisters "Twist My Arm" The Jacksons "State of Shock" Chic "Good Times" Thelma Houston "Don't Leave Me This Way" Liza Minnelli w/ Pet Shop Boys "Losing My Mind" Eartha Kitt w/ Bronski Beat "Cha Cha Heels" Erasure "A Little Respect" Depeche Mode "Strangelove" Depeche Mode "Behind the Wheel" Shannon "Let the Music Play" Tina Turner "We Don't Need Another Hero" Grace Jones "Slave to the Rhythm" Arcadia "Election Day" Laid Back "White Horse" Madonna "Express Yourself" Paul Parker "Right On Target" Miguel Brown "So Many Men" Hazell Dean "Searchin'" Viola Willis "Stormy Weather" Claudja Barry "Work Me Over" Donna Summer "She Works Hard For the Money" Patrick Hernandez "Born to Be Alive" Thompson Twins "Lie Lie Lies" Thomas Dolby "She Blinded Me With Science" Kajagoogoo "Too Shy" Georgio "Sex Appeal" Bananarama "Venus" Bananarama "Cruel Summer" Kraftwerk anything from their "Computer World" release Eurythmics "Touch Dance" and ALL THINGS 12" by PRINCE!

A lot of great tips, good going I have one, it`s not quite 80s, but almost. The 12 inch remix of Diana Ross` "The Boss" from 1979 is a good example of the great 12" remixes.
