Anxiety's Wrecka Stow Grabs Du Jour

I'm very excited to hear everything I bought today.

I just found one of those cheapie box set bundles that includes Donna Summer's Love To Love You Baby, A Love Trilogy and Four Seasons of Love!

I've been wanting to get these three albums for the longest time, but never knew which to get first, or else I wanted to hear them all at the same time, or the CD was too expensive, or too cheesy looking, or SOME reason would keep me from getting 'em. Now I have them all, and I can't wait to hear these albums for the first time! I scored by finding her Bad Girls reissue for cheep at the MPLS Invasion this fall...I guess I'm just meant to have classic Donna Summer music falling into my lap! biggrin

I also got the Go! Team CD and the latest Paul McCartney CD (finally) this afternoon. That should get me through until Christmas...

What are you smokin', fartknocker?

I love all three of those albums, and I got all giddy the first time I heard them years ago. That full 18-year version of Try Me I Know We Can Make It is disco perfection! And Could It Be Magic? touched Beautiful!

i got it at rock records, a little wrecka stow in downtown chicago near my job.

it was a great investment...i'm listening to 'a love trilogy' for the first time right now, and 'try me, i know we can make it' is kicking my ass left and right...all 20 minutes or so of it! it's putting me into an overproduced, giorgio-moroder-soaked, disco sugar coma. it's absolutely beautiful. i think these old mid '70s mododer albums are exactly where it's at. they hit the spot perfectly. why have i waited this long to check 'em out? very very VERY tasty stuff.

and i listened to the new paul mccartney album this morning while doing my writing class homework, and i really like it. it's like his "sea change", unsurprisingly. but it works! a lot of it sounds like the quieter stuff on the white album, or even like the glory days-era wings stuff. i'm going to be listening to this a lot, i can tell. i love nigel godrich. he can do no - or very little - wrong, in my book.

check froogle.com, that might be your best bet. it's worth hunting down if you don't have these three albums.
