Can someone tell me which one of these Vanity albums is better? I want to order 1 from a music website that has really rare cds. What is the difference between the sounds? Please describe. Cheers!

If the cd's are pretty rare for a reasonable price you should assume that they might be fakes. There are fakes of pretty much all the old Prince related artists on Ebay.

I heard "Mechanical Emotion" and "Pretty Mess" I like those songs, so I will go with the first one..the cheapness of the first album though made me ignore the second one. Its pretty rare..so I should be collecting it..though I just look at it and

no they are on musictsack.com. they have them on vinyl and then they burn a copy onto cd at a ridicluous price but i really want it. too bad i don't own a record player.

Well it's more like cheap mid-80's productions..Motown's 80's productions...

But Mechanical Emotion is funky....I love that damn song..it has Morris DAy in it too. Kinda like...a dark Princey song.

I think Skin on Skin is much better. But Pretty Mess is on Wild Animal so I guess it is a toss up.

After the 'Wild Animal' album flopped,Motown decided to keep a close watch on the recording of her next album.They chose the songs,and paired her up with commercial songwriters and producers.The result is that 'Skin On Skin' is more focused than the self-indulgent 'Wild Animal' album.

to be honest though,I'm not too impressed with much of Vanity's solo work.It's missing the fun and the vitality of the Vanity 6 album.Her solo albums are too subdued and sometimes boring.
