other languages in English songs

Out of personal interest I listened to this song by Teena Marie, called 'Portuguese love'

Sorry, but wtf is 'Yo quiero a la ser amor'? eyepop

To sing in another language can be beautiful, but very often it's just disbelief

Let's hope Prince won't try to sing Spanish in his new song. The title sounds very boring already...

'Te amo, corazon'

'I love you, sweetheart'

yawn

Any other songs that come to mind?

Btw boxed the French part in 'Boys and Girls' is just so wrong, but very very fun...

i like the french in boys and girls!

the only ones i can think of off the top of my head are indian flute by timbaland and addictive by truthhurts. i think the language is hindi in both
Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!

What about Neneh Cherrys Seven Seconds? I think the guy singing in a strange African-sounding language was really cool.

Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not... It's ok, but I don't love it.

Unfortunatly, I'm french but often sing in other languages, because I like the way it sounds. It just has to sound good, funky.

Youssou n'Dour he is.

The language is supposed to be french.

Australian singer Christine Anu sings little bits of her songs in both her specific Island Language (she's a Torres Strait Islander) and the Torres Strait Island general dialect nod
